Honey chai tea

  • 4 tablespoons of  honey (to taste, but given the richness of flavors it is advisable to use one with a not very intense aroma)
  • 2 teaspoons of black tea powder
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tablespoon of black peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of cloves
  • 1 tablespoon of cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon of fennel seeds
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 3 cups of milk

Gather in a small pan the honey, the tea and the spices, add the milk, a cup of water and bring to the boiling point.

Let simmer for 5 minutes with the pan uncovered then remove from heat, put the lid on and let soak for 25 minutes.

Filter and serve the tea, hot or cold.
